The Association is an organization of our beer Wholesalers designed to promote their common interests. There is no requirement that licensees join or belong to the Association, but licensees are encouraged to participate in the Association since it simplifies and facilitates communication with licensees concerning their issues and responsibilities.
The Association safeguards the business interests of beer wholesalers collectively and individually. It works to improve the business climate in which they conduct their daily operations.
The Association maintains a liaison with the Missouri Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Control; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms; the Missouri Department of Revenue; and all other State agencies. The Association acts as an intermediary on matters affecting beer wholesalers.
The Association reports industry information on a National and State level to its members.
The Association monitors trade practices as relate to the Missouri Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Control and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms’ rules and regulations.
The Association monitors bills and administrative actions. The Association’s President attends legislative committee hearings and represents beer wholesaler’s viewpoints before legislative and regulatory bodies. The association, on behalf of its members, contributes and attends various political fund-raisers.
The Association’s President, upon request, will schedule Compliance Seminars for MBWA members and employees.
The Association organizes an Annual Convention and publishes an Annual Directory for its members, brewers and suppliers.
The Association sponsors the Missouri Beer Wholesalers Risk Management Association, a self-insured workers compensation insurance program.
The Association is affiliated with the National Beer Wholesalers Association, the Wholesale Beer Association Executives, and the Beer Institute.
